Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Wrenlog is a journal for trading and for everyday life. What you write in it is personal, and this policy explains plainly what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Wrenlog is run by Joel Penny, an individual based in the United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@wrenlog.com.

What we collect

Your mood, energy and sleep entries may count as information about your health. You choose whether to record them, and they are used only to show you your own trends.

How we use it

We do not sell your information, show you adverts, or use your journal for marketing. We do not use analytics or tracking tools on the site.

Our legal basis

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area: we use your information to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract), to keep the service secure (our legitimate interests), and, for health-related check-ins, on the basis of your explicit choice to record them, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting them.

Who helps us run Wrenlog

These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide the parts of the service listed:

Some of these providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Where that happens, they rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the service.

Storage in your browser

Wrenlog keeps a few items in your browser's local storage: your sign-in session, so you stay logged in, and preferences such as your chosen style and the last page you had open. These are needed for the site to work as you expect. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your journal for as long as you have an account. When you erase your journal or ask us to delete your account, the data is removed from our live systems. Copies may remain in our providers' backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.

Your rights and choices

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

Your journal is protected by database rules that let only your signed-in account read or change it, and connections to the site are encrypted. No service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere.

Children

Wrenlog is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date above and, where it matters, let you know by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
