Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Joel Penny ("we", "us") for using Wrenlog at wrenlog.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
Wrenlog is a journal, not financial advice. Nothing in Wrenlog, including its statistics, insights, strategy checklists, point values, risk and profit calculations or quotes, is investment, financial, tax or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Trading carries a high risk of loss. Your trading decisions, and their results, are entirely your own.
The service
Wrenlog lets you record and review your trading and your daily life: trades, sessions, strategies, statistics, goals, tasks, habits and journal entries. Wrenlog does not connect to your broker, place trades, or hold money or assets of any kind.
Figures the app calculates, such as profit and loss, risk, R multiples and detected point values, are based on what you enter or import and on general contract information that may not match your broker or contract. Always check important figures against your broker's records.
Who can use Wrenlog
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may only create an account for yourself.
Your account
- Keep your password safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
- Give us a valid email address, so we can send you account emails.
- Tell us promptly at hello@wrenlog.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
Your content
Everything you put into Wrenlog, including your entries, notes and images, stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so that we can provide the service to you. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not share it except as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to upload it, for example any screenshots of charting software.
Acceptable use
Do not use Wrenlog to break the law, upload harmful code, try to access other people's data or our systems, overload or disrupt the service, or copy or resell it. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Price and changes to the service
Wrenlog is currently free. We may introduce paid plans or features in future; if anything you already use will start to cost money, we will tell you in advance and you will be free to stop using it. We may also add, change or remove features as Wrenlog develops.
Availability and your data
We work to keep Wrenlog available and your data safe, but we provide the service "as is" and cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or that data will never be lost. Use Settings → Download my data to keep your own copies from time to time.
Ending your use
You can stop using Wrenlog at any time, erase your journal from Settings, or ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop running the service; where we can, we will give you notice and time to download your data.
Our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading or investment losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Wrenlog, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before it, or £50 if you have paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Wrenlog after that, the updated terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere as a consumer you keep any protections your local law gives you.
